Was Wacken Open Air festival 2006 worth it?
- Trey Azagthoth
-guitar player of Morbid Angel, commented on the 5th of August, 2006.
- Yeah, I mean it was an honour to be on it. It was a sold out festival and a lot of people came and it didn't rain, so that was a good thing... We had a great time playing with David and doing the classic songs and I felt that fans received us very well and, you know, for me only bad thing about outside is the wind, it blows the sound around, so I only hope that our sound was O.K., 'couse I don't know... We did our best and I know that we played fast, hahaha!

- Oh yes, we traveled a long way to get here. Australia is a long way from Europe and we've been looking forward to this for a long, long time and we just love it! The atmosphere, the people, I just can't believe how they are friendly. There wasn't any fights, there wasn't any destructions, the music is great, the fans, variety, everything from old school to new stuff, from death metal, thrash metal to rock 'n' roll. All variety, it's a perfect place. We where fortunate to play on Thursday and it wasn't much going on, we just had Scorpions on one stage. We had a good crowd on W.E.T. stage.

- Worth it? Absolutely! It was amazing. Great to be a part of Wacken festival again. I think that this show was even better that the one we had two years ago, so we are really happy.

- To me definitely yes! I mean, Emperor played a great show, it was mainly about that for the crowd. I had a good time, it was a beautiful experience.

- Was it worth it? Hell yeah! I mean, we came from this small little place from Norway, you know, basicly having nothing, just some ideas how we want to create our music. In the beginning everybody was like: "What the fuck is this?!" and now we are at Wacken and there is like 60000 people screaming Emperor. It's unbelieveble! It was a long journey, but it was definitely worth it!

- Jason West: It was more that worth it!
- Kelly Shaefer: It was the best metal experience I had in my life. It was absolutely topnotch. I've done few Ozz fests but this was absolute, most amazing metal congleration ever.
- Jason West: Fans... the crowd was amazing! The promoters where amazing. They take care of us and it was more than worthy to be here.
